5/5/08 Monday
Flew on Allegiant from Gateway airport to Santa Maria and drove 40 min to Avila Beach, San Luis Bay Inn
Checked into our room on the 5th floor very comfortable, could see and hear the ocean.

Walked along store fronts on beach in Avila

Walked on the Pier and had fish & chips dinner with peach cobbler & ice cream at Olde Port Inn,

Morning beach for Glenn and sleeping in for Karen

Dune buggy riding in Oceana

Then farmer market in Atascadero
Then off to Cambria and dinner at Linn's
Went to pirates cove very picturesque

5/7 Wednesday
Cave above beach for Glenn, sleep in for Karen
Went to pirates’ cove short hike to beach enjoyed time in the sun sitting on the beach, watching birds and seals
Drove to San Luis Obispo for famous Woodstock pizza Veggie and Garlic Chicken and Salad
Enjoyed Iron Man at the theater and then walked through the shops on Higurea Street
Mervyn's for Karen to buy a warm sweat suit to wear at the Farmer’s Market next evening

5/8 Thursday
Avila beach for Glenn tide was way out & sleep in for Karen

Avila beach area, Glenn & Karen

Woodstone marketplace for sandwiches sitting on the patio enjoying the relaxing atmosphere,
Shared a ham & turkey croissant and a veggie Pita sandwiches with a Greek salad.
Walked along the Bike trail along the creek just enjoying the view and the area.
Then off to San Luis Obispo to see the movie "21"
Cold Stone Chocolate, walnut ice cream in a waffle cone

Walked the Creek that runs though the center of town

Time for SLO farmer's market, as we walked the market we enjoyed the music, a chocolate/banana/strawberry Crepe, Moo Shu Chicken wrap (Glenn), Beef shish-ka-bob, BBQ corn, Belgian Fries/wGarlic Pepper Sauce, & Triple Berry Pie
